1 bag di cal, 1 bag stock salt , 2 bags mineral salt. works good and cheaper than trophy rock. No one around here carries di cal. That's critical to the blend, eh?

Yes, same recipe I use. I get mine from the local Feed and Seed. If they don't carry it they should be able to order it. I get (2) 50lbs bags of unmedicated trace mineral salt (1) 50lbs bag of stock salt and (1) 50lbs bag of di-cal. I put half down now and the other half in 2 months because it's Sandy soil where I hunt and it leaches into the ground quicker than clay type soil.
200lbs worth for $54 and some change. Trophy rock doesn't compare.

I like Redmond brand of salt for cows. Redmond has different options probably the only real limit is your budget. Don't forget Thorvin brand of Kelp. The Redmond product we use is #10 fine salt.

Deer like salt. The other stuff may be beneficial but they don't crave it. I'm going back to just cheap stock salt after spending way to much on all the big name stuff. Running cameras for 20 years over licks has finally taught me this.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo
You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

That is correct they only crave the salt , di-cal is what you want them to eat that's why it's mixed with the salt (to get them to eat it) they do get some nutrition from the trace mineral but it's really all about the di-cal.

TM blocks blend onto the woos better though They do. Most people would walk right by one and not give it a second glance. I haven't put out a lot of Trophy Rock but every one I have has been completely consumed.
