The 2 day, wearable heart monitoring device. Anyone on here had to use one? I'm curious how much of a PITA they are. I'm scheduled for one over the weekend and am wondering what I have to look forward to. Google search shows several different styles of them. Some look fairly simple, others, not so much. Not sure what style my hospital has.

Didn’t bother me much at all. I have always had 4 connections on my chest that were wired to a small pack that I carried on my hip.
The first time I ever wore one I was on a full ride athletic scholarship and still practiced with it on. So it wasn’t a hinderence at all.

The 24 hr blood pressure monitors were far more annoying.

Other than perhaps changing the position you sleep in. I never had an issue with golfers.

Done it twice over the decades. None recent. Minor inconvenience at worst even with the technology of 20 years ago.

I had to use them a couple of times , once for over a week , It was not a big deal . With the longer term one I had to phone in the results each day over a non touch tone phone . I had to buy a cheap hand set to do that . Still not that much trouble . You will most likely not have to do the phone in thing . good luck with your test , I hope all is well .

old and tested

Do you know what they're checking for? My wife works in electrophysiology and might be able to offer a bit of insight. But like you said it will vary from clinic to clinic and possibly even doctor to doctor.

Not much of a big deal for a few days.

Done that. It was maybe 20 years ago. It didn't hinder much. I was able to cut/split/and stack firewood with it on with no problems.

Have worn one a couple times in recent years with no problem doing normal activities or sleeping.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

Thanks for the info everyone. They are trying to determine if heart issues are the reason I fainted/blacked out last week. Never in my life have I done such a thing. No warning, no symptom, just fell over on the ice while fishing with my dad and son. As I said, pictures of them seem to vary in size and design. Some are worn around the neck, clip on the belt or even taped right to the person. Sleeping in that one doesn't look restful. Even read that you can't shower in some of them. I'd prefer not to go to Easter services or dinner not having showered for 2 days. Not sure how long I have to wear it yet. I get it fitted on Friday and have an EKG Monday morning, and I'm betting they are just going to have me wear it until I go back in for that.

I have worn them 2 or 3 times. Killed a nice buck in Sept. with the bow while wearing one. It was still pretty warm and I sweated all the contact patches off dragging the deer out. Just put more on after a shower. No problem.
