Thanks for posting that link nyhuntfish, as I've been wondering myself about this particular incident.
One thing I wish they would elaborate on is how this happened - meaning, was the golfer out on the open course - or in/near a wooded area looking for his ball......
Pretty crazy though, I can't remember ever hearing about a bobcat going after a human while last year we started hearing more reports like this one regarding coyotes getting more interested in humans as far as prey goes:

As far as fisher go, I'm being told that the numbers are now going down in CT but the bobcat numbers seem to be going up, as they are now a very common sight.
Agree with yellowdog, if the numbers keep going up with bobcats, and more incidents occur with domestic/farm animals not too mention people... there will certainly be a season soon, as the current D.E.E.P. Bobcat study is exploring this possibility as well.
