where else are homeless people going to eliminate waste? the only solution is to build public toilets and hire some of the homeless to occupy and clean them around the clock.

Yep..We have campers and camping people here in New Mexico that dump there "Black Water" at lake shore and pull out leaving raw sewage at the waters edge..These aren't homeless people these are people that $40,000-$65,000 trucks pulling $35,000 dollar trailers..People in New Mexico are disgusting..

I was watching a show on PBS last night and they were talking about Dr Snow discovering collura in England. Over 60k deaths in a month from collura which was caused by people dumping their waste and the waste getting in wells and other drinking sources

New Yorkers have been pooping in the streets for years. I lived there for 4 months.

Public restrooms does not seem to be the answer. I was in a park with my niece and her kids the other day when some old lady squatted outside the playground and took a pee. The restroom was a 100 yards or less away. My niece was appalled. I really didn't care.
