The cheapest leather gloves at the store. I go through a couple pairs a season. Our rocks are pretty sharp.
If traps work like the Antis say......I would have no fingers.

Box of 50 heavy duty nitrile (black ones) at Harbor Freight for 10 to 12 bucks a box. This is what I use. They hold up well. You don't have to worry about mud, blood or any other contamination. Put on a new pair as needed. IMO this is the best way to go.

I use an old pair of my patrol gloves for the majority of the year. Easy to slip on and off, washable and able to do things that require a little finesse without having to take off the gloves. Every now and then I'll throw on a pair of nitrile gloves when needed under either pair. When it's brick outside, I wear kinco, pretty warm glove. Pvc coated knit wrist gloves get a fair shake on the line as well. Come in handy when I'm dealing with a wet environment due to the elements. Leather gloves are used as well, they all have a spot in the "favorite" category at the time of the task, just depends on what that task is.
