Has anyone ever had to send a gun for work? What’s the process? Thanks

I have a 22, shipped it to them and explained that it wasn't feeding properly, they worked it over and sent it back, I paid return shipping, and it has not had a problem since.

Would think you have to call ruger explain the problem and get shipping instructions don't know your laws but here it would have to be shipped from a FFL License holder

Get their number or email online then set up you shipment with them. They have great customer service and have fixed two guns for me over the years for no charge except shipping. I found an old mark ii target pistol that was destroyed once and sent it into them and they built me a brand new gun while salvaging the frame so I didn’t need a background check. They gave me two new extra mags and a brand new slab sided bull barrel.

Sent in a Mini 14 years ago that thing just threw lead all over the place the work order looked like they replaced everything but the stock, it shoots like a dream now. You can ship to the maker directly with UPS call first and get the return approved first.

They will probably give you an authorization number to include on the package and in all correspondence.

Yes, I called Ruger customer service. They emailed me a prepaid parcel pickup "note" to print and attach to the box the gun was being returned in. I boxed it up, sent it out. Ruger fixed it and sent it back, all at their expense.

Make the call and follow instructions from there. I had a problem that only involved the slide on an auto pistol and was able to just send them the slide. Made things a bit easier and quicker. Ruger's customer service reputation is deservedly outstanding, their manufacturing QC is not as good but they will make it right.
