I have killed a few. The best had a 8in beard. I have killed 2 or 3 with a 5.

Got
My first bearded hen last spring after 22 years of turkey hunting got her mounted

Have now had two out behind our place this spring and the wife is targeting the biggest one. It has a “Tom” beard I would say 9+” and thick
The other is like the one pictured in op

Her season starts tomorrow morning. But my son will be in the blind with her so I guess I will have to wait to see how they do

My season starts in early May

Wish I could post pictures off this new iPhone but I can’t get it to work

Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

Most of the time I let them live. 9 times out of 10 down here, if I cut on a call and it ticks off a hen enough for her to come running in it's a old dominant bearded hen. When see gets to cutting back and running in to you, she'll bring her boyfriend in tow.

I had a bearded albino hen on a ranch I hunted years ago. I had her within twenty yards twice but I never flung the arrow. She wasn't white but kind of a splotchy light grey.

After 20 years of turkey hunting I saw my first bearded hen last year.
I shot her and wish I would have had her mounted.
She looked just like the one in the picture.
