I went to Walmart this morning and saw they pulled all their guns. I asked the lady behind the counter, and she said, they pulled them last Saturday, and she didn’t know why. I thought, here we go just like Dicks. Did y’all hear any news about this? And are they pulling guns where y’all live?

Every Walmart is different. The one closest to doesn't sell guns. A few others near me sell a few guns mainly rifle and shotguns and have an ok selection on outdoor gear. One in another city near me has a good selection on hunting and fishing gear and has a decent selection of guns.

Was just in Wal-Mart in Iowa City, and the only guns there were pellet or BB guns. Just another reason to avoid the place.

Ours carry Mossberg and Savage offerings and that's about it. Never see anyone carrying one out of the store. The rural King next door to Walmart sells tons of guns.

Just called ours they said it was a store specific based on sales and customer base.
So you folks that live in left leaning states your probably gonna be out of luck. He also said that if our store stopped selling them , and reloading supplies they would lose a huge amount of business.
And the boycott brigade, well what cha gonna do when all your businesses stop or are forced to based on law or customer sentiment? Guess you can make your own?

It is based on sales. Also insuring 4473’s are filled out properly and all paperwork is correct when dealing with less than competent staff is a bit of a risk. I know for a fact when the ATF comes calling and do an audit it doesn’t take long to rack up some fines especially when your talking about a company with deep pockets and an unwillingness for bad press. Some times it’s just not viable to stock firearms when they can stick something else in its place that is more profitable

The closest one to me pulled them a while back. But it turned out it was just while they remodeled the outdoors section. Soon as they were finished the guns were back.

If based on sales, you have to keep buying one every couple months so the sales keep telling management 'see our profit' in the reports. Think if it were any other business that they would continue stocking items that sell once every two years?
I've never seen a gun sold at the local WalMart and they still have some in the display, and occasionally I do see customers open carrying in store.
They stocked fly fishing stuff last year and it doesn't sell very much either so that display is now reduced and may be dropped in future. One Wal Mart I was in had no mouse traps!!! One in another town had plenty.

Kroger never sold guns. And some of us don't like dealing with places like Dicks, and there has been a time or two when Walmart started with your lefty, political correct responses to 2nd Amendment issues.

Walmart used to have a catalog with about every gun sold in the U.S. in it. Whatever you wanted if not in the store they would order for you. Most of the time though it was cheaper to have a gun store order you one and the guns on hand at Walmart were cheaper than most gun store guns. Walmart was a lot different when Sam ran things.

Mine stop selling around the year 2000. Bought an Rem1100--$200,Rem11-87--$240,Ruger10/22 s/s laminated --$108 2 of them and sold 1 for $230, Ruger M77 270--$240,Weatherby Vanguard 30/06 $220, and a Rem 7400 30/06 $200. All clearance priced. Looked like I was starting a militia when I left the store that day.Still all in the boxes except the 2nd 10/22 which I setup for my son.
