I’m looking into buying and electronic caller for coyote and fox. I’m planning on going with foxpro but don’t know what model to get. I see the have the Patriot model that is around 150 dollars but they also have models up to $500. Does anyone have any experience with any of the foxpro call models and if I get one of the lower priced ones will they call coyotes just fine or should I go with the more expensive ones? I feel like 500 bucks is pretty steep and don’t want to dish out that much money if something cheaper will do just as good.

I have a Dennis Kirk caller with a bunch of cassettes. Is it worth anything?

Myself I like the foxpro, Started out with a used foxpro, that only had 13 sounds and remote. Used it for a couple of years and sold it for what I bought it for and bought a used FX3 and have about 8 years of use on it. Decided to get the CS24c last year, (wanted more sounds) and use it for predators and still use the FX3 when coon den calling. All three have called in critters without any problems. If your just starting out check Foxpros forum as someone is always selling one to upgrade. If you do buy a used one just keep a record of who you bought from, so if you have to contact Foxpro about a problem they can check their records. My FX blew a speaker after i'd had it a couple of years and after contacting them, I sent it in and they fixed it and sent it back.

Foxpro Fusion factory refurbished saves about $150 at Allpredatorcall.com. They are a distributor. This model comes with the best remote. This caller uses mp3 sounds so sounds from many free sources can be used. Also you can make your own recorded sounds. It will play multiple sounds at the same time. You can program a series of calls. Many more features. Caller and decoy work with remote at 100 yards at 10 degrees. What more can you want or expect?

When I go calling alone, it not uncommon for me to set up 200+ yards away from the caller. A GOOD remote is better than the call itself. Spend the $ on a high end foxpro.
