Stop assuming all illegals are milking the system. I've known and worked with illegals from all over ther world. Most that I've known are hard working individuals/ families who live very humbly, that's how they afford the "nicer" things. 99% of them don't come with debt pay with cash.

It's amazing what you can do when you don't have debt and live within your means. Do you really need the 2500 sq ft house for your family of 5, only to struggle to pay the bills etc...?

I agree with what most of you all have said. But, what I have a problem with are those who come here for the hand outs they get and they have no intention of assimilating and becoming Americans. Instead, they want to change America to be like the land they just came from where they were being persecuted, kidnapped, killed and constantly living in fear. Duh!

We have so many Americans living in poverty. Whoever said we should be taking care of them first, before we bring in more immigrants and give them free everything is right on.

Scuba sounds to me like the kind of people we should be welcoming with open arms. Yet, he's being made to jump through hoops which is crazy. You shouldn't have to spend money to become a citizen. We need more common sense running the system.

I agree Catch. Many that I've known though they came here illegally, do work towards their citizenship. I've known a few who have been forced to give up on the process after many years of jumping through hoops and will over $10k only to get nowhere. Do I blame them for giving up, absolutely not. They have exhausted every option done everything they could.

I have good friends as the result of their parents coming here illegally and their parents eventually got their citizenship.
The whole system needs a complete overhaul. A wall will slow illegal activity especially the drugs.

I agree 100% adam. We need to stop ALL illegals and cherry pick the immigrants we want. Those that we allow in must assimilate to our culture and if we let them come here and they prove themselves to be good citizens then they shouldn't have to pay a dime imo.

I basically figure on time and a-half pay,I take home my straight pay wages. Of course I go into a higher bracket but at the end I get some back and in December I do not pay SS because of my wages.

I have a different attitude about illegal immigrants than most on here. My thinking is that their labor is a valuable asset to our economy and if with-held would cause a major downturn for all of us.

In 2018 illegal aliens contributed 13 billion to the SSA. Money that they probably will not get back in benefits unless laws are changed later. And I'm OK with that...pay to play. Except for schools and medical I don't agree with benefits for illegals. Schools they already pay taxes for, and to deny medical is just flat wrong.

I wish we had native born folks to take ag jobs like the ones I can never fill. But it ain't happening. For us farmers skilled ag labor is a precious commodity that is unfortunately shrinking. Strawberry farmers are switching to crops that can be machine picked. In October when I pick late blueberries I can't find anybody to pick since the vineyards are paying over $20 an hour for labor.

I agree. That's why I feel bad for people like Scuba, over a decade and thousands of dollars so far and still doesn't have his citizenship.

My son married an American girl two years ago,and she is still working on getting her Canadian status.
At least she has medical coverage under my sons insurance thru his employer.

Illegal immigrants can’t get government benifits. I mean you got to have a social security number to get food stamps or anything.

So get up, have some coffee and go earn some money. Plenty of Americans are entitled to the money your going to earn also.

End welfare. We wont have to cherry pick immigrants. No criminal history then let them in. The people who show up will want to EARN their way and become Americans.

10% of the population in my area are Muslim. Most of them get free health care. Because of this, they use the emergency room at the hospital for anything from a minor cut finger, morning sickness, headaches, a cold, etc. There are always a large number of them in the waiting room.

My wife has asthma. One weekend she had a bad asthma attack. She was struggling to breath. I sat with her for over an hour before she could be seen due to the large number of Muslim people ahead of her. When she finally was seen, she ended up in the hospital over night until they could get her oxygen level stabilized.

A nurse who I know that works emergency said it's really not fair to people who are in real emergency situations. But, she said you don't dare complain.
