Just my two cents worth here and probably not worth that. While I was going through the process of getting even a work VISA. Keeping in mind that my other half is born and bread American ( Jersey c.... ehhh Girl ) and the costs involved to get that, we thought it best to open our own company and did just that. Now this is how screwed up the system is.
I was not allowed to work for a company.
I was allowed to own one.
I was allowed to pay taxes for my company.
I was allowed to employ a person ( in this case my american wife )
All this went on before I could even apply for things like a driving license, social security number. ( not that I would ever want to be on this crap social security ... but that number is a must have to get a driving license )
Red tape over red tape. I had to have inoculations for crap that was one offs and I hd it at school when I was a kid. I had medical exams, Got finger printed 4 times ( i have no idea how to have changing , or more up to date finger prints then others ) Been to 3 interviews and filled out questioners with questions and I quote . " Do you have plans to assassinate the president of the united states " Unquote
I answered even that one with NO even though Obama was still at the wheel then.
The whole farce cost me around 17000 Bucks so far and I am not a citizen yet. This quest may have me bringing a shrubbery to the first lady and killing a dragon along the way.

So tone your immigration crap down a tad until you get this stuff sorted out, it is pretty tough to be a LEGAL immigrant

Scuba as I've stated in the past my hat is off to you and others that have gone through the hoops to become a citizen. I've known several people who have endured the costly and lengthy process. I have a friend whos an immigration lawyer and her firm has been so crazy busy the last few years and it is getting worse.

Or getting better? She's making money and more people are legitimizing.

My Mexican neighbor has 7 vehicles, they are 2015 chevy ex-cab 4x4, a 2014 suburban, two 90's mustangs, a chevy Tahoe, dodge Dakota pickup and a 72 for pickup. a jet ski, 2 pontoons, ski boat, 4-wheeler, fifth wheel camper, 2 riding mowers, hot tub and several high end barbeque grills. He works minimal, and she works a few days a week as a nurse. They have 5 kids. I'm obviously doing something wrong. Oh yeah I am, going to work each day to support them.

^ yep that is the American way. We work our donkey off to pay for the illegals here in the US and our own are starving to death. The blue just don't get or they do it and always looking for a vote.

Generally speaking we should eliminate 75% of 'assistance' payments. If your a real fat slob you get paid to stay home and get fatter.....something wrong with that. Plenty of fat could be trimmed off.....

ive been saying for decades it needs to be easier for decent people to come here legally. end socialism. charity should be voluntary.

work to much overtime and you earn less per hour than when on straight time. the money you still have gets taxed again. sales tax, car tax, phone tax and every other thing anybody ever has thought of taxing gets taxed. government ends up with at least half the money you earn just to give it to somebody else.

end the socialism and the people wanting to come here will do so for the right reasons. like becoming americans not freeloaders

What tax table are you looking at?

We could eaasily reduce 10% if we tightened the enrollment process. Once someone is in the system whether they need it or not, its very difficult to get them out of it. Also create functional job levels. I don't expect some one with a bad back to dig ditches but there are less laborious jobs many disaster led people could do. Even if its part time.

get a job pike river. put in a 70 hour week. look at your pay stub. see how much money you get to keep.




The solution is simple. End welfare. In fact end all subsidies.

Speaking of that,,most of them illegal immigrants I see don't look like they are missing any meals.
