Call a vet or poison center. Can you determine the active ingredient in the poison? Probably will be helpful.

Mix some fresh hydrogen peroxide with milk. Give it to the pup. He will throw up in a few minutes.

Give him 12 c of hydrogen peroxide. It will make him vomit and clean his stomach out. That will get rid of any rat poison

You can make her vomit by putting salt in the back of her mouth. You can look up the poison used online and find what counter acts it. Most rodenticides can be counter acted with vitamin K.

This.. ^^^

Our beagle done the same thing several years ago and this is what the vet recommended. Also follow up with vitamin K.

I do not know, but I had 2 dogs get into D-Con, 1 made it 1 didn't. (Even with medical treatment). I wouldn't take chances-go to the vet.

Looked it up she would of had to get half an oz and im pretty sure this was an empty wrapper with just crumbs in it. Wifes dog and she hasn't put her phone down to even check on things so we'll see how this plays out. I don't take anything to a vet unless absolutely necessary.

Been doing all the math and online research.
Even if this packet was full she would od had to eaten 3 of them to do any harm. Just not a very strong poison and with her weight she only coul have gotten .2 mg and would of had to have at least 10 mg to cause harm

Gave her the peroxide and milk
Only found 2 pellets in all the vomit so i think shes safe

Thanks for the help

As I understand it, Rat/Mouse poisons are anti-coagulants and are species specific. Not a problem unless Dog ate a Rat/Mouse that died from the poison Brom??? (sp) something.

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Maybe, but I wasn't under the same understanding. Glad you got it resolved. We had a similar scare recently. Second the comments about salt to induce vomiting as well as the vitamin K.

Symptoms would be the dog being lethargic and if the dog has short hair, you can see their skin get blotchy red from the capillaries bursting.
