I thought it would be interesting to hear everyones picks for lure and bait and what kind of set you make. Coyote, muskrat, mink, beaver, otter, whatever animals you pick. Excited to hear the feedback!

I always have Sweetwater Flattail. It’s a really good beaver lure, put it down a hole for coyotes, or use it as a rub lure for cats.

Violator 7, from MTP. Badgers can't leave it alone, and it does very well on coyotes and coons. smile

I agree with castor. I'm also a big "Fox Frenzy" fan.

I have been told to try it that out, have heard a lot of great reviews. Anyone have any otter or muskrat lure recommendations?

Lots of old time trappers say that 3 basic attractors ....red fox urine, skunk essence and castor will "interest" about anything....catchings a different story...lol

I haven't found anything that doesn't like castor. I've found myself getting away from the LDC and skunk the last few seasons.

Red fox pee and pure quill. Caster has not worked out so well in my experiences with it.

Peanut butter for barn rats. Fish oil for coons. I like tinctured castor for myself to sniff from time to time.

Miranda's Jym River and Sweet water Flat tail are two I've switched to this season and been doing very well. Good change up from the others I've used in the past.

For those castor-shy beaver, Woodchipper is my go to lure. Fools them every time.

My favorite lure are the ones that help get the animals into my cages, and do it on a consistent basis through different times of the year.
