I went out this morning but the wind wouldn’t die down at all so I said to myself the heck with it and went home. Besides I’m not feeling the best today my stomach is grumbling today.
I don’t trap because I want to I trap because I have to

Same high winds here grayfox. I try to call when the wind dies down every 15 or 20 minutes, can’t hear anything with this wind! My current situation: I hunted/scouted about a hundred acres this morning and saw no sign of turkey. It’s pretty hit or miss here at home. There are turkeys in the area but limited places to hunt them. So if they are not on the farms I have permission to hunt I am pretty much out of luck. I will get more serious about turkey hunting after next week when I head up to my camp in North Central PA where I have access to around 15,000 acres.
Eh...wot?

A light breeze and some snowflakes keeping you from the first day of Spring Gobbler Mark? LOL, it's a long season, better days are coming.

Plenty of days to hunt this season, I'll go out when the wind isn't howling and warmer out.

I took one out to thaw, a real traditionalist lol. Clear and real windy over here. Dang wind uncovered my best wood and rain soaked it. Looks like two nights of stove burning coming up. Coalbank has a couple birds near him.

Last week in Joisey I saw four two-year-olds together and thought it odd that they were grouped up and not fighting each other for hens.

Have had cams watching a strutting area all month. So far only pics of a few single hens. Half expect to see them March through anytime. About another 20 minutes and I'm calling it.
