spent the weekend in washington. hadn't been there since 1976 for the birthday bash. the monuments that have been put-up honoring our fallen are amazing. it made for a lot of emotions, tears seemed to come to easily for all those men and women that gave their lives for our country. so much has changed since their times but we still live by the constitution as they did and fought for and died for. along with the tears was how in gods name can some of the leaders running for the white house be running on socialism ideas....... and those that would are supporting them. it sure touched a nerve being in the presence of the fallen. boss, hope this isn't to political.

I agree, but I haven't been to DC in a long, long time, and prolly won't ever go there again! Things have certainly gotten better, as o the treatment of our vets. Sure was discouraging when I came home on the last leg from nam, from Seattle to Witchita on a plane full of people that hated the uniform I was wearing.
