I bought a box of 18 traps at an antique store, most were 0, 1, and 1 1/2 victor long springs and a couple of small jump traps. The box also contained the following:

2 #4 Hawley Nortons - Rings are missing from chains

#2 Newhouse DLS - flat link chain and ring, both springs stamped

#1 Newhouse - flat link chain and ring with spike and hook

#3 Diamond DLS - The chain has been replaced

The same week I picked up #3 Newhouse at a pawn shop. The pan reads "Reg US PA Off" , "Made in USA" "Animal Trap CO"

Shot of the #1, #3 and #2 Newhouse traps.

Any information about when these were made and approximate value would be greatly appreciated. Sorry, I took more pics, but some will not load. Thanks

The 0s may be the most valuable unless they were all Victors.

Great find... Good to hear something good can still be found in an Antique shop...
I would say your #2 and the Hawleys are the oldest traps.. The Diamond and the #3 ATC were made later....

Thanks for the good pictures

Lumberjack, all of the 0s are victors. They are in good shape other than a couple of missing pans.

Dale, its not much of an antique store, but the guy makes and sells the best salsa I have ever had. I stopped in to get a jar and was surprised to see the counter covered in traps. When he said he would take $65 for the whole lot I figured I couldn't go wrong.

Since the Hawley Nortons and the #2 did not have patent dates or a "Made in" mark I guessed that they were older. Can you tell me when they started stamping that information on pans?

Thanks
