I've looked all over for a Wilson HBAR 20" SS 1-8 twist .223 Wlyde and can't find one. I would prefer that if I can find it.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Catch, you can do a camp job like I did ..... It is easier then it looks, just take your time As far as weight of a barrel goes, the son in law had a bull barrel on a 20 inch Wilde chambered AR for over a year and then I turned it down to make it lighter and threaded the end for a brake and made that as well.

The barrels I posted a link to on the White Oak site are Wilson Combat barrels.

The barrels I posted a link to on the White Oak site are Wilson Combat barrels. Thanks Flipper, but those aren't the caliber or length I'm looking for. I was hoping to get a complete upper but it doesn't look like I will be able to. Looks like I'm gonna have to build one.

Lol, I can't thank you enough Flipper but the barrel I want is out of stock. I will try to call them to see when it's available.
Question, How does one go about getting all parts needed for a upper, except the barrel?
I called Wilson and they said two weeks for the barrel but heck, it's only 6oz's lighter than the bull barrel. Also, they don't make a HBAR barrel in .223 Wylde. I'm back to square one lol.

1lessdog, she's beautiful! What fer barrel did you go with?
That is a Kreiger 1 - 12 twist, I built it to shoot light bullets. I going to shoot 40 gr in it. I was shooting some 55 gr I had loaded up and it shot right at .500.
I have 5 other AR's with Wilson barrels.and they shoot great to. But for the 17 and 20 calibers I like Blackhole Weaponry barrels. They shoot real good.

If I was looking for a Upper and all parts less the barrel. I would buy a complete upper from Bearcreek or Primary arms. Then shoot it and if you dont like how it shoots buy a better barrel. Buying the parts will be more expensive I think. I have a couple of uppers Im selling less barrels and hand guards. I going to all side charging uppers.

I have a 24 inch bull barrel in 204, I will never buy another bull barrel again, went with an 18 inch light barrel, and it will shoot better than me out to 500 yards, no need for the longer barrel let a lone the bull barrel, heck I'll sell you the 204 full upper. LOL

Get the lightest one you can find. I lugged around a bull barrel for a few years. It gets pretty heavy. Get the best lightest barrel you can. Same as Cattrax- Don't need a long barrel. Midway has a lot of parts but you can hunt for hem and find them on the internet. I got a flash can also - it directs the muzzle blast out away from you
Just passin through
