If the NRA goes down, so do we as gun owners. The GOA and other organizations may be good organizations but they just don’t have the recognition and clout to stop the anti-gun people from taking over our gun rights. I never heard an ant-gun politician mention the GOA.

Have the taken a page out of the " Government shut down " letter to get more money out of folks or are they actually going to make an attempt to explain what is going on, other then the fact that they want more money again.

what stops gun grabbers is our votes. when a politician whines about nra they are talking about voters. they all want reelected. some states a vote for gun control is the kiss of political death.

Another thought here ...... If the NRA did fold. It won't but just a hypothetical scenario here. If it did fold and if even just half the then " homeless " NRA members where to sign up with GOA or another organization that does not compromise like the NRA does and did. The politicos would have their hands full for sure and the easy times would be over for them when they tried to push more gun control down our throats.

So what is going on then ?? From a big party a few days ago to some sort of shut down if they don't get a lot of money is a bit of a downer and also a little sudden if it is indeed such a major issue.

No, I call them that because a lot of people are convinced we need the NRA, when in fact, they absolutely need us. With or without the NRA, the 2nd Amendment will stand. The “boogy” man is not going to get me or the 12-15 guns I currently own.

They mention the NRA because they know anti's are scared of them and they also know the organization will comprises making the politician look powerful in the eyes of the antis.

I read a minute ago that there is a law suit between NRA and NY because Cuomo ask insurance companies and banks not to do business with the NRA. According to Wayne LaPierre it has cost the NRA a bunch of money. Here's a link
