I have personal friends who have Asperger's syndrome and it definitely is not a "mental problem" for them; rather it is an asset.

Both of my boys have Aspergers. It manifests differently in each person... The youngest would get along fine as a hermit. But the oldest boys' head would explode within 5 minutes if he didn't have someone to talk at.
