Have 3 or 4 dozen duke 1.5’s that I plan to take off the shed wall and use this year.
How do y’all like yours set up?

You might just want to put another swivel mid chain. Other then that I see no reason to do anything else.

I agree with Beav. Mine are also laminated with 3/16" rod, extra swivels, strong springs.

I put #10 SS bolts, washers and nuts on mine. Nightlatch then fine tune them. Add a mid length swivel, take the slop out of the dog, bow the jaw tips up a skosh, dip'em and get to setting for groundhogs. When I'm done with that I tune them all again for coons.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Think he is using them for coons. Just add water and go. Drown them boogers

Better swivels, and #2 straight link chain if your making dirt sets ( easier bedding) along with your water sets.

1 1/2 Dukes for fox, raccoon and mink need absolutely nothing else, it's the one trap Duke got right.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I had debated on laminating the jaws but sounds like not necessary.
I do plan to make some cable drowners together and try them out

No lams. IF you do you'll need to up your spring rates to hold wet/ muddy coon. Thinner jaws work a LOT better for coon. Well especially the bigger/northern coon. Southern coon might not make a huge difference...but still no pro's to lams for coon.
