I got bit last weekend. Still praying it wasn't lymes disease. Just a little red right now.

They are bad up here right now. Pulled a dozen of them off me in the last two days of turkey hunting.

I was out all last week in the woods and never seen a tick all week, it might of been the below freezing temps and 6 inches of snow maybe! LOL

I get a welt every time one of them bites me. My legs look about like a coyote hide after boarding had so many this year.

Sawyer brand permethrin, spray down all my hunting clothes or anything I wear in the field, let it dry. Do it once a year. Turkey season/spring and early fall always the worst here.

A Brother in law got a couple ticks stuck on him in Texas a couple years ago. Ended up with some disease. Not Lymes, but Lone Star disease or it was Lone Star ticks or something to that effect. He has to take shots the rest of his life as it messed up his immune system somehow.

Amazingly very few so far this spring, not sure if it’s the very high turkey population, really cold winter or what. But I’m happy about it

Haven't seen any yet either. Maybe it's all the below normal temps we've been having so far this spring.

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

I treat my clothes with permethrin. I also use it for the yard, chicken coop, foundation of the house, thresholds, windows, etc. This stuff does wonders for bugs. I buy the 37% stuff from amazon and mix my own. This stuff is the best for ticks.

Broke my arm a couple weeks ago. Caught one yesterday just as it was crawling under the cast. Hoping there wasn't 2.

Should not be a tick anywhere around here if the possums ate as many ticks as the general public believes.

Was fishing a few years back and found seven or eight crawling on me, but I have not had one latch on to me since I was ten or twelve. Guess I'm just bad tasting.

I found 3 yesterday, crawling, and one barely attatched.

Be glad you're not a moose. The warden left my house a couple hours ago after tagging some beaver pelts for me. He said he put down two moose this spring from tick infestations. Ticks literally suck the life out of the moose. [Linked Image]
