Isn't Iowa flooding and getting a lot of rain also?

Today was one of those days where I was non-stop busy, including a visit to the dentist, grocery shopping, hiking with the dog... anyhow I was all set to enjoy a nice bottle of beer in my garden, and to my horror and surprise my trusty Adirondack chair collapsed from under me. Ok - no big deal, I'll get the hammer and some nails and put 'er back together again as this is not the first time, and man did it start raining !! I was furious - even mad at God !! One thing is for certain - here in CT we are in our wet season where it rains 6 days a week, but soon enough we'll be into our dry season which lasts June through August and we'll be wishing we had rain. Too bad it's got to come all at once weeks at a time then cease for weeks at a time........ makes growing not an easy task

I would like for it to stop long enough to lightly disc 4 acres to sow yellow and white clover for my bees. If it keeps raining I always have a 100 million dollar ark within four and a half miles of the house.
Government making sin legal does not make it right.

Lots of flooding the last couple weeks from North bay south, and in parts of southern Quebec. The Ottawa valley and Muskoka area had it bad. We're good here so far.We had a lot of snow this winter, but it stayed below zero at night and above in the day,and hardly no rain and what did fall was very light. So the runoff has been long and slow so far.Ground is still frozen solid,so any heavy rain could easily cause flooding as the rivers are fairly high but still within their banks for the most part right now. Looks like the Gov't is finally going to relocate Kashechewan,in the far North. The Albany River floods out the community and the entire town is evacuated every year. They will be picking out a site for the new town soon, upriver from the Bay on high ground.
