Any one in here who shoots a crossbow have a one made by Killer Instinct? I recently purchased a Hero 380. I have 2 Barnett Jackals which is a low dollar bow but has done everything I wanted to do with it. I've killed elk, deer, and turkeys and target shot it hundreds of time. Never no problems. But the Jackal is heavy.... this killer instinct Hero 380 is over 2 lbs lighter. And I am hoping that amounts to a lot less tiring effor [Linked Image]

I have the Machine from Killer Instinct. It has the folding stock so it takes up less storage space. I really like it. Supper fast, light and quiet.

When I was an archery tech we had one lock up and would not fire or allow us to let it down. None of the usual tricks would work on it. Before we could put it in the press to let it down we had to set it aside to help a couple of customers and the crossbow totally blew to pieces. It wasn't cocked for more than a couple hours before it disintegrated. Should never happen to a crossbow. Worst part was we could never get a live person on the phone at their customer service number. They never did return our calls. Another shop in town had the same issues with them and with defective parts - especially limbs. Maybe they they have improved, but I don't trust them.

I have the Furious FRT 370 and love it. I had the right limb blow apart the first year. The customer service was fantastic and I had new limbs in 2 days. The bow has worked flawlessly and I would buy another.

I sure hope I don't have bad luck and experience any limbs "blowing apart" or any other bad things. But even the best of crossbows have problems once in awhile. I have seen posting on the net about the cheap ones AND the high dollar bows breaking and failing. Lots of power and energy stored up in those short limbs. Thanks for the replies!!

For my money crossbow technology has gone too far. They are extremely accurate, fast, and too much like a gun than like a bow.
