Beautiful! I pulled up stakes today. It was the strangest year turkey hunting I have witnessed in 40 years. I heard one gobble and seen about 5 hens after the opening day so I decided to bag it for this year and do more fishing.

WE need details! Give us the story!

BTW, congrats. A bow kill is hard to do.

It doesn't even seem possible to kill one with a bow.
They can see you think, and hear you change your mind. If they could smell, they would be unkillable.

Thanks everyone! It was definitely tough to finally get one with a bow. I had missed twice this year before connecting on this one. My goal was to shoot one in the head/neck area and the Magnus broadheads do make that a little easier but seems like they never keep their head still long enough for a shot, hence the two previous misses LoL.

I always have better luck on evening hunts and that was the case with this bird...called in a Tom and three Jake's around 6:10 and as soon as they saw the decoys they committed and came running in. At 17yds I drew back and got busted by one of the Jake's and had to rush my shot a little more than I'd like to but in the end it all worked out. Not my biggest turkey but definitely one I am proud of!
