Tithing is not being charitable, to me that is.

Being charitable is a led thing and is executed in various "changing" forms.

Like asking a blessing over food, it is easy to lose sight of the purpose doing the same thing every time.

I have given to quite a few charities over the years including the Salvation Army. I feel bad for those bell ringers who sit outside during the Christmas season looking for donations. Not many people carry cash on them anymore and they don't take debit cards.

As a Shriner I know where the money is going. I do not trust many of the "charities" seeking money. I support the Shriners Hospitals For Children.
