Is it possible to buy Silver Vine plants? If so, where can I get them?
Thanks,
AuthorTrapper.

author trapper before you buy any do more research getting them to grow here isn't the problem! I cant remember all the details but theres a fly that indigenous to that region that helps with the attractiveness in the fruit. But there are a few greenhouses that sell the the saplings. Might be wrong but I believe your going to spend money with no possible return

I've never heard of anyone growing them. It'd be interesting to hear if any of you have tried.

All I can think of is, "Another kudzu". I'd be careful about growing any exotic vine. You can buy bags of the sticks on Amazon.

I was prepared to buy some but after reading deeper a fly bites the fruit causing a fungus. Several growing zones in usa will allow the plant to grow .Its the reason the fruit is attractive to cats that's the hang up! But the fruit has several medicinal uses for humans as well. If your growing it for the sole purpose of a cat attractant you will be money and time ahead to just give tracy a call. His is proven by him and others, ive seen it first hand!

What part of the plant is used as cat attractant? The fruit, or the leaves?

The gall "fruit." The plant produces a bearing fruit to reproduce, but it also produces a response to midge infestations, which look like shriveled peach pits. Its the gall fruit that contains the two chemicals that cause the euphoric reaction in cats == not the twigs, the leaves, or the bearing fruit.
