Is there anything stamped under the little flip up thing?

Cool little trap. The ones stamped Animal Trap Company are more common. Your trap is at least 90 years old. Very good condition for that age.

Thanks. No "Gopher Trap" stamp like on the ATC's, this one is blank.
Here's a set photo -still pretty strong for it's size.

While I can see how that could catch a mole, it sure looks like it is better suited for neutralizing the reproductive ability of Sus scrofa.
(I figured I keep it high brow for the trap addict crowd.) smile

A few of those traps made by Oneida Community have "standing bears" stamped under that flip up thing. Since they were hidden under the flip up thing, the stamping is very clear.

High dollar trap IF you are fortunate enough to find one. smile

Here is the standing bears stamp, It is on the trap with the spring stamp that ends with "N.Y.-", having the dash after the N.Y.

Here are the other variations, Oneida Community, Animal Trap Company and Woostream.

Very nice grouping, I didn't realize there were that many variations. First thing I did was look for the bears but good to know there's at least one of them out there..
