We have had miniature horses at the farm for the past twenty years thanks to my sister. We picked up a stallion a few years ago because the one we had died of old age and we had some mares left. He must have had the recessive Gene for dwarfism. Up until he was born ive never seen a horse or any animal with dwarfism and we have raised all kinds on the farm for many years.

My sister hasn't had much to do with the horses for years but she showed up and took him home pretty fast mad
Oh well, we are getting rid of them soon and moving the cows over to the main farm anyways.

Wow! That is very interesting. I would think that there would be some pretty good market for that size.

Keep him to breed your smallest mares and try making tea cup horses for indoors. You can have them even if you live in an apartment. Take them for rides and everything. Hot commodity!

I'm sure he would bring a good price to the right buyer, but he will also have health issues his whole life and a spendy vet bills. My sister is a Vet Tech so she can take care of him and not spend much. The vet said he would be about 28" tall full grown. He's about 22" tall in the pic.

I wish it worked that way but it works just like the TV show with the two dwarf parents and ten year old kids three times bigger then them lol.
