Yes on all of the above! Two names you don't see anymore,Parker Dozhier and Jeff Richter.Loved Dozhier take on the fur market and the rural lifestyle in general, and Richter wrote good ones on long lining, some of it solo and and some about partnering with Mr.Ray Milligan.A few years back I was in a book store looking at a pictorial book, all photographs were Wisconsin, the photographer was listed as Jeff Richter.Jeff was from Wisconsin, wonder if that was him.

Anyone remember George Wacha's old column in the Trapper magazine called "Getting By and Making Do" or something along those lines? That column was always really interesting.

Wrote old Mr. Carrol a letter once asking some questions. He took the time to answer and had some really valuable insights into canine trapping that I put into use. Garlod Weiland used to write some great articles. Some here mentioned Grawe. Ardell Grawe is still making and selling lures and baits. A friend of mine went out to him for instructions, twice. Good trapper. Jim Spencers articles, also mentioned above, used to fire the imagination. As a kid those articles made me drool and wonder what kind of a mink wizard he was. Never would have guessed that some day I would ride around most of a nice summer day, showing him some turkey hunting spots. Mac
