I'm not bad mouthing the product just stating there are other choices that work as good. One would be to take a 6 pack and go down to your local body shop and have your cables primed.
And rust does continue to form under the coating. Is that a problem? I don't know but It does happen.

That's why you need to fellow the instructions traps need to be clean, if to much rust you need to clean them up.

Those are several reasons I use Acrylic latex paint. Pressure wash the traps dip while still wet shake off excess and hang to dry.
I can buy decent paint for around $20.00 a gallon mix with 2 gallons of water and I'm good to go.
