And the hits just keep on coming...

A couple of barges broke loose from their moorings around Muskogee. Miraculously they managed to pass under the Hwy 62 bridge but are heading toward Lock & Dam 16 at Webbers Falls. Not sure what kind of damage they could inflict...

I just read an update that the barges hung up on some obstruction and they are working to secure them again.

Barges hit the lock and dam . So far, it's holding. Barges sank after impact.

Maybe I'll find a piece of one of those this fall when I'm running my trap line around the Toadsuck lock and dam. All that water headed this way, expecting major flooding.

Keep your head above water J...

I'm told those barges were loaded with fertilizer... That can't be good.

This will give you an idea of how much fertilizer was in those barges.

The web says 3,800 tons of fertilizer. The fish will grow good now.

My 1 an only fishing spot is below dam within a mile , was going to try this weekend for first time , but water going way back up again, next weekend. Even higher. In spring is when catch huge sheepshead, last summer was poor fishing there , usally on average it is no good for fishing there until next weekend every year, be later, this year, closet good place I know of, other streams. Not as good even. If the rollars where down, it might damage lock an dam in dbq

Why couldn't the military sink the barges when they last broke free?
