Those that use this set do you use a castor or food lure in the pipe? Supposed to take otter too? Was thinking of making up a few and try them but would like to hear others success or lack thereof. Thanks.

Whats the pipe for,to keep the lure from washing away in rain?

Partly, if you go to YouTube and type portable pocket you should see some. Traprjohn, that’s the video I saw that got me interested. Seems quick and effective.

I always thought you couldn't get much more portable than a basic castor mound set.

I've use both just depends on whether I think the Beaver have been messed with it not. I prefer castor lures when possible.

Yeah I mean I'm pretty green to trapping but personally I haven't had any issues with standard castor mound sets.

Try to put it in your pocket to take to the next location.

Why carry anything in your pocket that is unnecessary?

I think it’s more of a hop out of the truck beside the road type thing. Less visible than a 330 sticking up and something different.
