Nice thing about selling hatter beaver is you know exactly how much they are going to sell for - around here a $9-10 average on the hide and about $8 average on castor per beaver.

In the end there is maybe a 5 percent loss of usable fur. So, I sell her a good blanket for $100 to $110 and damaged for $90 to $100. I took a 5% hit on the deal, not the 50 to 60% hit you take at an Auction.
