Can you buy ten ply tires anymore? I was in the market for heavy duty tires for my Colorado and the tire dealership said no one made a ten ply tire for that truck/rim size. I wound up getting eight ply Kumho's. Fantastic tires with great traction in mud and snow.

That's strange Posco, I bought my tires about 3 years ago at Discount and they are 10 ply. LDW no idea on difference I wouldn't think there's a difference I found this, Adam. I'm not a tire expert by any stretch but I wanted a rugged tire for the gravel roads I drive. I'd never heard of Kumho tires and was skeptical but the dealer said they were a great tire. He was right. Tread wear has been negligible and the traction they provide is unbelievable. …your vehicle falls into this category. Load range E tires are the equivalent of the older 10 ply rated tires and are often still referred to as such, even though tires no longer have 10 actual plies in them. Regardless of what you call them, Tire Rack has what you're looking for. Below are two… https://tires.tirerack.com/tires/10%20Ply%20Tires

I just got 265/75 r16 for my pick up, load range E and says on the side wall 10 ply. How big is your trailer tire?
Usually trailer tires have a differnt tred pattern to them. So they roll easier.

I had Kumho tires on my Stratus years ago and fell in love with them. I landed up going through 3 sets of them. I was skeptical of them too since at that time they were "cheap tires". You're right the traction they have is amazing. It didn't matter if I was on dirt roads or taking corners at 50+ or flying on switchbacks the traction was insane.

Hauling cap on that truck shouldn't warrant a 10 ply

LDW, a lot of "trailer tires " are bias ply, not something you would put on a vehicle, Can you buy ten ply tires anymore? Hauling cap on that truck shouldn't warrant a 10 ply I run 10 ply tires on my large rigs like pickups and suburbans because I like the ride and response of the stiffer sidewalls and seldom getting flats from banging into rocks and ruts.

Everyone the works or plays here runs 10 ply, from the smallest CJ on up.
