This Is the 5th grizz she has collared . I think they have 2 more collars to fill.

2 super cubs do the spotting and then they go In with chopper ad dart the bear. Looks like she's living the dream.
I think she said this one weighed In at around 500 lbs.

There are definitely worse ways to spend your work day. A job like that can't feel very much like work. Getting outside, flying over the wilderness, interacting with incredible wildlife like that. Awesome.

She drew a sheep permit this year so she can't do sheep surveys this year. But I'm sure the info Is still out there for the asking.

Dream job...

Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes......
Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

Pretty neat. Coastal or inland? I shot a collared black bear up there years ago. The biologists gave me $25 for returning the collar and sent me a detailed map marking every encounter they had with the bear over the course of their study along with age and weight estimates. That bear had denned the previous winter twenty miles from where I took it the following fall.

Makes a person look forward to going to work if they really like what they are doing.
Great pic, best of luck on her sheep hunt.
