I’m skeptical about any beaver market until I see actual sale results. You can cherry pick all you want but I still haven’t seen beaver worth putting up at today’s market

A lot of trappers would agree with you Blackhammer.
I still trap and put up beaver for fur,castor and bait for other furbearers and to keep my trapping trails from flooding out.
I enjoy putting up beaver,but would not trap them hard(big numbers) until the price goes up some.Skinning a pile of beaver day after day wears on a trapper after a month or so.

Beaver are not necessarily worth the effort to catch them for a profit yet. Rest assured though that day will come, upward movement in price is a good thing after five years of decreasing prices. Shearable beaver has done to well at retail not to have demand, it's ranch mink prices at retail that affect the price of most consumers purchases. I will guess that good quality Northern beaver will see a steady small increase with each sale, flatter long hair beaver, I have no idea.

Beaver may not be worth a lot but in my neck of the woods if you're trapping parcels with water and NOT trapping beaver, you won't be trapping there long!!!!

Worrying over the auction house sales dont make trapping more fun either.

Sounds like we are going to lose the" sell the carcass to mink ranchers" market soon.

That’s fox ranchers, dirt. And that market is too small anyway.

The market to sell anything to mink ranchers has plummeted already.

Btw, how many cents per pound is anyone selling their beaver meat for?

Mink99 the carcusses are sold by if it takes two hands to lift=20$, and grunt with one hand =15$, one in each hand =10$ each. Helps when you have a spring bear season;
and a lazy guide service to sell to.

Guess that trappers aren’t the only ones to try and utilize carcasses.

I don't know? Might be able to get it for 5 to 10 cents a pound or free from hobby trappers? When my dog eats it, his fur gets real silky and shines.
