I thank you for your prayers, the Trapperman flowers and cards. This has been a long test of endurance for us all. Now about 9 days ago Candi caused me to stir while in bed when I heard her making noises as if she was having a dream or nightmare. I nudged her and noticed she was very warm and told her she was dreaming. She seemed to quit making noise and I went back to sleep, a bit later I was again awakened and she was in a cold sweat. I asked if she was sick and I couldn't wake her. I went to my daughters room and asked her to help. I thought she would wake up and say wow I was really dreaming. Unfortunately all we got was a blank stare. Paramedics came quick, life flight was next and a stroke was believed. Soon after arriving they ruled out stroke, seizure and then bacterial menangitis. Later viral infections, lymes, lupus, ms, west nile etc. everything was being tested for. They felt a brain biopsy was required- a 1/4 inch incision was proposed, when done a 4" cut was made and the surgeon told me he had never seen anything like it. We waited and waited for test results and today we were told they were inconclusive. I respectfully said thank you for all you have tried and the team of specialist that has been assembled but I need to move her for a second opinion. The result is we have a friend who arranged to have one of the top team leaders at the MAYO clinic join our Pittsburgh team to review our situation. I thank you all for thinking of us. I thank you for your prayers and I thank Nittany for caring enough to share our situation. I've lost my parents and recently my brother but the threat of losing my wife is different. I'm sure many of you know and I hope I never have to experience the loss of a child which again I'm sure few get over. I'm trying to ride the Positive train and stay off the Negative.

Thanks for the update Don. I hope and pray for her situation to improve dramatically.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.
