Yesterday my sailboat found a new owner. He is a young guy from Floriday ( boat mechanic ) and he wants to live on her and learn to sail, then take her to distant destinations. Sad to se her go but glad that she found a good new person to look after and a person that will also look after her. Feels weird though coming home and not seeing her. Some boats are like pets.

[Linked Image]

Signing date for the property in Tennessee is on the 29th. Then some site prep and move the houseboat onto it in August.

Stuff just got real

I built her from scratch over the space of 2 years then sailed her over the pond via the Azores to the upper bay, Then to Bermuda and back for squirts and giggles, then down here to SC. From the first pencil stroke to yesterday we been together for 9 years.

Nope just to the nearest travel lift. Haul her out and truck her up there, then but her on a foundation. Live in the houseboat on land till I finish building the house. I know its going to look a little pessimistic, living on a houseboat on top of a hill. Who is this Noah guy anyway??

Thanks for the well wishes. There are a few marinas dotted around the lake, so I am pretty sure that there is stuff for me to fix and make a living. And for the time being, I'll drive down here once a month for a week to work on my existing customers boats. Interesting times are ahead i think.
