Has anyone extracted armadillo glands? Are they the same location as say a coyote or completely different? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would urge caution cutting into one due to the diseases they can carry and hopefully you will never contract any such transfer. Dont know of anyone that fools with them in that manner.

But yes I would say their glands would be in the same areas as other animals.

Thank you for the caution and the advise Mr Jameson. I always wear gloves when dealing with them and do my best not to get blood or cut myself(fighting brucellossis and typhoid fever right now so definitely dont need anything else).

I heard of someone on Facebook that makes an armadillo gland lure but figured one of you guys might be able to help with the location of the glands.

Thanks alot MR. Jameson

Dillos aren't difficult to trap. Funnel trap them or trail trap them to force their movements where to are best suited to catch them coming or going. They love worms and grubs. If you pen a couple for a few days you can collect their urine and feces from the ground or place absorbent material in the holding cage and use sections of the soiled material for your traps.
