To put out trot line got ready to leave and. started the boat and thought something fell out of a tree and whacked me in back of the head. But it was a Asian carp like to knock. me out. anyone been hit.

A few years ago my brother and I were standing on at the top of a tree covered slope looking down at the river we were getting ready to fish. We heard something falling through the tree tops and a sucker about 20" long came crashing to the ground. We looked up and there was a great blue heron nest above us. There were no herons in it so we don't know why it dropped. There was no wind at the time.

I’ve been hit numerous times by Asian carp while running lines and while bowfishing in the lower Mississippi and connected oxbows...Can be pretty dangerous especially at night...

gives new meaning to the words catching fish,,,take a ball glove OR batter up!!!!

When they jump in the boat they leave blood and slime everywhere and leave a pretty good mess...

More time than you can count .some trips multiple times .they make the best cut bait for set lines if you leave the skin on . For rod and reel i prefer shad skipjack or perch ..the skin is so tough that gar and turtles cant tear it off hook even when the meat is gone there is still a little bait (skin) on the hook for the catfish to eat

Back in the late 90s I was headed up I169 towards Aitkin MN when just south of Onaima I seen a SUV pulling a boat suddenly go into wild gyrations clip a car in the other lane then get rear ended by the vehicle following it, took a while to get past all the while muttering about crazy stupid city drivers, on the way back stopped in at the Holiday gas station and heard all about the accident where some fish had fallen out of the air to crash into the window of an SUV causing the drive to have an accident

The only explanation anyone had was it must have been an eagle that dropped it as it flew over

But imagine trying to explain that one to your insurance company

Caught a few fish but at least I didn't get whacked lol. Had to pull line supposed to rain the next 5 days like we need more rain.

The way they jump behind a boat going fast . I bet they take the fun out of water skiing .or tailgaiting jetskis
