I think most snakes are killed trying to get away from people.
I leave 'em alone, unless they're a pit viper in my yard - then it's game on...
The rest I'm ok with.

That little racer is about a $500 bill, and that is pretty cute.

They are fine looking serpents. The poses look like they are mounted specimens rather than field visuals. What's the case?

I have dad used to have one that he called his insurance policy I just call it dads bill

As for that snake and others I have never had any fear of them or have felt the need to just kill them for no other reason then that they are there

500 isn’t all that much for an exotic pet just check out some of the websites that deal in them

The top one looks like a grey banded king snake to me

My favorite snake is a dead one.

It is amazing how that rattlesnake could blend into its environment. We have eastern diamondbacks here. Local rattlesnake roundup is starting this week. Pretty neat to see the snakes up close, behind enclosures.

That's the exact same picture of a white rock rattler, that's on Wikipedia.

The first picture is of a kingsnake, not a racer.

We don't have eastern diamondbacks in PA. We have timbers.

How many of those white rock rattlers and king snakes have you caught in your lifetime ? I have been catching them for 50 years and have gathered a few of them up.

You can call them what ever you want but the only place I have ever caught the racers is around Pandale, Texas on the Pecos River. I have never seen one out in the heat of the day and only hunt them at night when the temperatures cool down.
The exotic pet dealer I sold to in Florida called them Pandale Racers and sold them as such. I will continue to call them Pandale Racers. Oh, and he would drive all the way from Florida to pick them up as well as Western Diamondbacks.

The rock rattlers I catch are in the same area in Texas such as Pandale, Juno, Comstock, Dryden, Pumpville, Sanderson, and Sheffield.

How many days and nights have you spent in that area ?

I have never been there. I don't understand your anger. I agreed about the rattler. The other snake is a kingsnake. It is not a species of racer. It may be called a Pandale racer by some people, but it is a kingsnake species. I only looked them up because they are beautiful and I never heard those names before.

I used to make a large part of my income by collecting and selling herptiles too. Ohio unfortunately made it illegal. I used to teach classes on native reptiles, for the Miami County, Ohio Park District. Much of what I raise on my farm ends up feeding reptiles in zoos, including the Cincinnati Zoo and private collections.

Happy collecting.

Keith
