Mac I know what you mean. I used some reclaimed 8" cedar posts from when I took down a 32 post corn crib. Thet were in the ground for 50 years and are still perfect! Each one I removed there was 19 to 21 feet after cutting off the bad ground level section. So I got 2 - 9'+ posts out of each. Love a new fence ... Thanks Wheelers

Nice to see smooth rather than barbed wire so deer don't get hung up in it. Never once have I personally seen or heard of a deer getting hung up in barbed wire fence simply because it was barbed. They get hung up when they jump and their rear leg gets between the top two strands. It can happen with any fence, including woven if there's a single strand on top of it. The barbs don't have anything to do with it. And in over 40 years, I've only seen it here about 3 times.
