I was wondering who has all used pogo stakes and also how they work in harder ground like the frozen ground we get in Minnesota?

I've used them in frozen ground. I had to drive in a smooth stake first to get below the frozen section. Then drive the pogo in. If not it'll bend the washer.

I use them. I actually just make them homemade. It doesn’t Matt what drake I’m using, I usually make myself a pilot hole anyways. Nothing I can’t stand more than getting 1/2-3/4 of the way down and hitting a stone.

You can't cheat the mountain pilgrim. Mountain's got its own ways.

I still use them from time to time I have some on 18 inches of cable with 2 inch washers that I use in wet ground. Once stuff freezes up I use homemade super stakes I prefer to drive just one hole in frozen ground.

I used them for everything once upon a time, now I only use them for coon as I can usually find unfrozen ground in the wooded areas .

I use them all the time. Easy to make, easy to change out parts if needed, cheap. What’s not to like.

I already carry a drill, if the ground is that frozen, pop in a pilot hole.

Use them all the time. Drove them in for decades and wondered why my tail was dragging at the end of the day. Now I drill every one and just push them in. Work smarter.
