I had a DNA test and I have no black, Asian, Native American or Jewish DNA, which surprised me because I thought I should have some Jewish DNA and probably some Native American DNA. I also thought I was mostly German and found I was mostly of Viking peoples ancestry, which I guess explains why I am so fair skinned and fair haired.

I have never owned any slaves or used anyone else's slaves. I see no good reason why I should be responsible for anyone who owned or used slaves, back before I was born, whether I am related to them or not. Obviously none of us living now had any part in making the decision to own slaves 154 years ago and more, in the US.

Somewhere around 40 million descendants of slaves are now Americans. Their ancestors were unwilling immigrants to be sure but their descendants are now Americans. They helped build and fought and died for this country.

I can not imagine anyone who loves our country accepting or thinking money is owed. 100,000 dollars times 40 million is a lot. What kind of inflation will that create when that money is printed? Working descendants are likely to invest or spend it wisely. Might not cause a big problem. What about the deadbeats in the inner city? Been on welfare taking dope and stealing their whole life? I expect those idiots to think its a good idea and vote for it. Doesn't surprise me congress wants to hear from an entertainer on the subject rather than an economist.
