That's a cool looking rattler. Are they usually that color? It looks almost like a chocolate morph.

I can count on one hand the number of rattle snakes I’ve encountered in the wild. That one it really pretty. I am probably in the minority when it comes to snakes but they don’t bother me. Wish there were more around and fewer rodents.

Nice picture. I haven't run into one yet. That looks like a Russian olive tree that snake is shading himself with.

It's actually a big sage he moved under. Yeah Keith most around here are that color, I just thought he looked pretty. I watched him for a while and then let him be, I haven't seen very many of them the last few years.

Very nice! I admire any critter that can thrive with no arms or legs. In the El Paso zoo about 35 yrs ago they had 21 different species of rattlesnakes. I had no idea. I really like the folks who leave snakes alone to live in their environment.

You can keep them stinking things, hate snakes. If I had them on my property, would get rid of every one I see.

I like snakes, just not the poisonous ones. That one would have probably been changed quickly from a rattler to a RATTLED.

If you work in rattler country and constantly have run ins you'd change your tune on letting them live. Getting bit is no laughing matter from what I hear. I hate Rattlers..non poisonous snakes don't bother me.
