While those prices on tanned beaver seem wildly excessive,I remember being in a Taxidermists shop about 20 yrs. ago and him showing me a summer roadkill beaver that he'd skinned,had tanned and put it on a hoop with a few feathers and had it priced at $175.00.I asked him about the price and he said he sold others for the same price,that a lot of urban people don't have a problem paying it.

well I remember him saying this was a $400.00 beaver and there were 20 In the colony. I don't think so.
