Trying to get a ballpark value, mid 60's grumman 15' double ender, this one was when they used the heavier gauge aluminum. No dents, leaks, great condition, original aluminum (no paint). I see prices from $50 to over $1,000, no rhyme or reason for the disparity. I bought this new in a family purchase, I'm the only family left and I won't be using it anymore.
Not looking for a home run, just a reasonable amount that someone would go for...Seems cheap kayaks rule nowadays, Thanks guys....

I agree with Lee. I have a 19' Grumman square stern that I paid $800 for in 1979. I think I could still get that same amount for it today Your missing out a Grand on the price White... That 15' should go 500$ to someone in the know. but start at 800$ and you can send me the extra 300$

Around here, in good condition $400-$500. I bought a 17' aluminum grumman used when I was 15 with money I had earned working one summer. A friend and I canoe-camped all over NJ and PA for several summers. It was a great canoe. We put a lot of dings and dents in it and banged a few dents out with rocks, logs, or whatever we could find in the woods. I gave it to my nephew a few years ago and he's still using it. The older aluminum canoes could take a beating.

Not sure on Grumman but I purchased a used Osage Osagian Classic in 2013 for $200. It was in very good condition and I purchased it in the fall. Been very happy with it.

how bad do you want to stop storing it , that seems to be the driving force in price.
while you might get 500 for it and that might be very fair
you will move it faster at 300
some looking on facebook market place there are a glut of canoes in nice looking shape for 300 old towns and mad rivers
there is a clean looking 17 foot aluminum gunman for 324 with paddles and portage yoke , garage hangers , car top mounting foam and straps
canoe markets seem to be regional to some extent.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I just saw a 70s era 17' Grumman on Facebook marketplace for $600 in central Wisconsin. Tons of canoes for sale nowadays. Tough to get top dollar with a flooded market. I think everyone has inherited grandpa's old canoe and wants to sell it so they can buy kayaks.

I am a Kayak fan myself. Make sure you buy a good quality kayak. I always seem to get stuck with the junk one.
