I have been cage trapping some cottontails and relocating them. There just seems to be getting more and more of them. I was surprised how active and rambunctious they are when caged. I take them a few miles away and let them go.

I found one cavorting with my ducks the other morning. The ducks aren’t as friendly as chickens and will give way to approach. As they waddled away I noticed a hopper in their midst.

2 years ago we were at peak population. The amount I saw combining crops was staggering.

Our population is way down here compared to what it was a year or two ago. I used to see five to six in the yard at once. I have not seen any for a month.

I need to do something too. They are all over my yard and will start raiding my garden pretty soon. It's the most I've seen in years. Relocation might be the way to go.

Weve had quite a few that past couple years. I shoot em with the shotgun, or trap em in the garden, and the dogs love eating em.

Got one of these on order, just to make it interesting......... https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-P132...;qid=1560883951&s=gateway&sr=8-3

I used to relocate them into my kitchen.

That is the method I have found to be most effective.

We have so many my beagle has given up. He lays on the hill watching them running all through the garden, orchard, and about anywhere else you look. The squirrel crop is rather impressive here too this year. The best of the non-target catches this past winter, cooked up very nicely.

Yep, that' what I do. Then I stalk them in the winter with bow and arrow. No use wasting good meat shooting them in the summer.

We keep them around to give the poults and chicks a break. Would rather the land and aerial predators catch them than targeting turkeys and quail.

Get a fox. We have a family den 30 yds from the house. Since they moved in the rabbit population has gone from 12-15 at any given time in or around the yard to just a few here and there
