I beleive I have had this question up before but I have an issue with a neighbors cat that sheets in my yard. A motion light works but I would need a lot of them to cover a large area. Has anyone got a solution for deterring this cat from coming in my yard? I'm not interested in killing it, and they are the people that wouldn't do anything about it, and it may get worse if I say something.

Live trap it and bring it to the animal shelter.

Dig a 3x3 hole fill it with sand . Get a sand box scoop to clean it once in a while. Squirt a little fox pee in it to get fluffy started using it

To expand on Danny's idea, make sure when you clean it you fling it into the neighbor's yard. Extra points if you can land it in their vegetable garden or driveway.

Trap it and dose it with a little skunk squill.

Great ideas. I will see what I can get accomplished and yet be impeccable as possible.

Why do people think it's okay for their cats to wander all over, pooping and killing at will. At the same time these people scream bloody murder when a dog so much as looks onto their property. If there is no collar, its a wild cat in my book.

I would ask the nearest dog and see what he thinks.

The glory in taking them to the local shelter they have them spayed and neutered, So at least you wont be dealing with all its offspring as well. If its a kill shelter your not the bad guy

Once those jokers go wild they can be a pain in the butt to catch. The managers down here love to see feral cats being caught. Those jokers are serious killers!

I like the cage and skunk idea.

In the past I have seen some on here who has mentioned using motioned activated sprinklers. That would easily cover a large yard

What about using 1 or 2 of those motion activated yard sprinklers?

Our cats sheet in the stalls if we leave the doors open. We tried everything. If you have some ammonia and you see it squirt ammonia on it and it will freak out and run off. If you get it its face they flop around some and take off. It's just going to smell like strong cat pee to the neighbors. It will think twice about coming back but it will.

We catch strays and take them to the local shelter. People adopt them .

It's rude to let your animals do that. The neighbors two black labs decided they wanted to crap in our yard. They live 1/4 mile away along our driveway. I spread a load of horse manure along the edge of the field. I didn't know they liked to eat it. It's a funny thing to because now the people don't seem to want them coming over.

Just passin through

Cats have more rights than people. some people think it's OK to let them out and become a nuisance to others and to wildlife. I would live trap it and pour fox lure or skunk essence on it before release.

No help if they go there and claim it, however the fee's will get old quick.
Trap and Quill would work best as the cat will get it's fill of that quick, and like the above so will the owners.
