Solar powered motion light. Cheap and effective from my experience with them.

Single strand of wire, roughly three feet or so of the ground. Then every 10 or 12 feet, wrap some aluminum foil around the wire and smear a gob of peanut butter on the foil. They smell the peanut butter and get one heck of a surprise when they lick it. It's rather amusing to watch.

US3 Sang a song called Cantaloupe- remember that one??? Single strand electric is best bang for buck, and like said above the peanut butter attractors train your regular deer- its the newbies that come run-in in and mess things up...

The trick to deterring critters is to stop them before they get the first taste. It's easier to start good habits than break bad ones.

They didn’t like navigation the wire. lol By the tracks, looks like they tried, stumbled and then left.

No new damage this morning.

Hobbie, you like to research,so.i use an ounce bottle of coyote gland lure.i put it in a sock tied so it stands up with the cap off.sock knot right above the open bottle and hang near the damage area.i have one right now over my strawberries and it's keepin them away great and is amazing towatch the deer react to the smell.

I don’t have coyotes here so I don’t know if they would react the same.

I watched a video the other day of a fox attacking a fawn, I posted a video years ago of a young deer investigating a fox in a trap. I’ve about give up on trying to figure out what they are thinking and just try to be inconvenient to them.

i thought about that since i typed it Hobbie.i've witnessed with my own eyes the power of it here many times.

an hour ago i could see 9 deer feeding in my fields-only have 50 acres-and other than tomatoes and peas, none of my big gardens are fenced.

some kind of weed gross around the tater plants and the deer love it but never touch a tater plant.

which reminds me i have to pick tater bugs yet today.been a great year but a couple showed up yesterday and as barney fife told Andy---need to nip it in the bud---

have a good one, tornadoe warnings here and in the white house.i'm heading back to mother nature and droppin tater bugs in a coffee can with a little gas in it.

My electric fence pretty much ended my deer n coon problem.
It's second weakest fencer at the store, with wetter soil this year it is noticably stronger, surprised me
